The Industrial Designer Maria del Mar Manuel began making jewelry since College, apart from making a degree in Jewelry and Arts and Crafts, she took different courses in wax modeling, Openwork, Cast in lost wax and Art Clay.

After graduating from Universidad Iberoamericana she went to New York City to conduct studies in Fashion Marketing and Fashion Styling at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

From that moment she began to make samples and prototypes of pieces of jewelry, which some later become parts of her first collection.

 

After she returned to Mexico she founded in partnership with fellow Industrial Designer Michelle Mizrahi the Brand MANUELLE MIZRAHI.

The first collection was mostly made of leather, mixing different types of techniques, as well as metalic elements in silver and gold Vermeil.

 

The brand MÀNUELLE MIZRAHI designed several collections, they started to sell in more than 40 retailers throughout the country and airports as well as in Guatemala, Costa Rica and United States. They were constantly published in the most important magazines of the country such as  Elle, Harper´z Bazaar, Glamour, Instyle and Vogue, among others.

They made special collaborations for fashion shows with Pineda Covalin and fashion designer Kris Goyri. And with CIHUAH for fashion shootings among others.

Participated in projects of economic broadcasting with Promexico and presented in the most important fairs of wholesalers in the country such as SALPRO and Expojoya.

 

Maria del mar now brings us her new brand MAR MANUEL JEWELRY.

A collection with a personal vision which shows her evolution as a designer.

 

She finds inspiration in independent, strong and confident women who are looking for a special piece with unique design, but always faithful to her elegant and classic lines.

 

No doubt her new collection is a reflection of her personality.
